In natural gas chemical industry and coal chemical industry, Chengda is experienced in providing its professional services for   processing of hydrogen, ammonia and its downstream (urea, nitric acid, ammonium nitrate, etc.), methanol and its downstream (MTO, formaldehyde and POM), acetylene and its downstream (BDO, neoprene, etc.) as well as glycol etc.

In China, Chengda is a pioneer and the leaderin natural gas chemical industry with its patents and know-how. The company has completed a number of  projects with milestone significance in the industry, winning awards industry-wide and/or nation-wide, such as  Science and Technology Progress Award, Excellent Design Award and Golden Key Award for EPC Project, etc.. . At present, in China, both in the natural gas-based ammonia industry and in the natural gas-based methanol industry, Chengda’s market share is over 60%, and in natural gas-based acetylene industry,  Chengda’s market share  is close to 100%.

In coal chemical industry, Chengda has participated in more than 30 coal chemical projects developed by  large enterprises such as Shenhua Group, China National Coal Group, Yanchang Petroleum Group and Yankuang Group. The methanol plant of Shenhua Baotou coal-to-olefin project, for which the EPC work was completed by Chengda in 2010 , is the first 1.8 million tons/year methanol plant in the world. The Hualu Hengsheng coal-to-glycol plant, which was started up in October 2018, is the first 500,000 tons/year coal-based glycol plant in China.
