Recently, the 5,000 MTPA para-aramid fiber project of Jiangsu Shengbang New Materials Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the "Jiangsu Shengbang Para-Aramid Fiber Project") undertaken by CNCEC Chengda as the EPC general contractor was successfully commissioned at the first attempt, and high-quality products were produced. All key technical indicators have reached the leading level in China. This achievement marks the complete success of the largest single-set and large-capacity continuous polymerization of para-aramid general contracting project undertaken by Chengda in China, and the company has achieved a significant breakthrough in the field of high-performance materials engineering.
The research, development and application of aramid fiber materials are key tasks in the National “14th Five-Year Plan”, and also a key research direction for strategic new materials in achieving the strategic goals of building a strong country by 2035. As a key scientific and technological breakthrough and landmark project in Jiangsu Province, Jiangsu Shengbang para-aramid fiber project has actively responded to the national strategic deployment, successfully overcome the key technology bottleneck in aramid production, and broken the long-term monopoly of foreign enterprises in the field of high-performance aramid product production technology. The project's product, para-aramid fiber, has excellent properties such as high strength, high modulus, high temperature resistance, strong toughness, flame retardancy, chemical resistance, corrosion resistance, and dimensional stability. It is known as the "golden thread" that cannot be penetrated by bullets or burned by flames. It has important strategic significance and value in the fields of national defense, aerospace, and high-end equipment manufacturing.
As the general contractor of the project, Chengda relies on its strong technological innovation capabilities and rich engineering experience to deeply participate in technology development and design of the project.
