On February 28, the “Seminar on State-owned Enterprise Reform and Governance in Asian Countries along the Belt and Road” hosted by the Ministry of Commerce and undertaken by the International Business Officer Training Institute of the Ministry of Commerce visited CNCEC Chengda. A total of 42 participants, including students and team leaders from five countries such as Indonesia, Laos, Mongolia, Myanmar and Armenia, participated in the study tour and conducted exchanges on deepening international cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative.

Chengda, with its profound international development history as the main line, vividly demonstrated to the students the achievements of its deep cultivation in the engineering field since its establishment. The company has been actively exploring overseas markets since the 1980s, with business covering chemical, energy, environmental protection and other fields. Its project footprint covers Southeast Asia, the Middle East, North Asia, Northwest Africa, North America, and the European Union market, demonstrating its strong foundation and strength in the international engineering field.

Shen Hongbin extended a warm welcome to all the students and introduced the project of Chengda in the countries along the "the Belt and Road" in the on-site teaching link. Shen Hongbin stated that Chengda has always adhered to the principles of "technology leading, green development, and win-win cooperation", providing full industry chain solutions to partner countries through investment, EPC general contracting, technical consulting services, and other models. At the same time, Chengda strengthens cooperation with local companies, makes full use of local resources, maximizes the localization of project construction and operation, and practices the "the Belt and Road" initiative with practical actions. Looking ahead to the future, the company will leverage China's engineering technology advantages and the resource endowments of various countries to deepen cooperation in areas such as clean energy development and low-carbon technology applications. Through joint training, technology transfer, and other mechanisms, the company will cultivate localized talents and assist in the industrial upgrading of countries along the Belt and Road.

During the seminar and interaction session, the trainees of the seminar exchanged views and sought consultations on various issues encountered in the reform and development of state-owned enterprises in their respective countries. Chengda put forward targeted suggestions regarding the questions raised by the trainees. The trainees of the seminar highly recognized the successful experience of Chengda and believed that the company has provided valuable references for the economic development and industrial upgrading of the countries along the “Belt and Road”.

Through on-site teaching and interactive seminars, this event has built a platform for in-depth dialogue for the partners of the Belt and Road Initiative, further highlighting the brand influence of Chengda in international cooperation.
