On October 31st. the construction of 25,000 MTPA battery grade lithium hydroxide phase I project of Weineng Lithium Science and Technology Innovation Co., Ltd. in Yibin city, which is EPC contracted by Chengda, was completed and successfully passed the project completion acceptance, meeting the  conditions for commissioning.

The project is located in the Industrial Park of Jiang'an County, Yibin City, Sichuan Province, and is a key investment attraction project in the local area . The project uses spodumene as raw material, adopts spodumene sulfuric acid smelting process and lithium sulfate cooling crystallization process to produce battery grade monohydrate lithium hydroxide. The project has low energy consumption, zero wastewater discharge, comprehensive utilization of waste residue and a high resource recovery rate. The comprehensive technical level is in the world's leading position. The completion and operation of the project is of great significance for the upgrading of China's lithium industry and the continuous enhancement of international competitiveness.
